Discover the history of the Alps, in its heart!

The Geological Pedological path is a didactic ring itinerary that starts from Passo Salati, at an altitude of 2.936 meters.

The route follows that of the Botanical path, but must be approached in the opposite direction. It measures approximately 2.3 km, with a vertical drop of 53 meters uphill. Eight explanatory panels are located along its lenght.

In the first section you reach downhill Angelo Mosso Scientific Institute, of the University of Turin, where you can stop for a free guided tour. Over the years, the center has hosted many important geology studies. The results are visible in the rooms inside.

Moving on, you reach Vigevano Hut and Col d’Olen, to finally climb Corno del Camoscio. Here are located the geological panoramas. You can analyze them and admire the incredible view that this place offers on Monte Rosa, and return to Passo Salati at the end.
