The new chair lift that will link Cimalegna (m 2650) to Passo dei Salati (m 3030) will be inaugurated on Monday 18 December at 3.00 pm.

From 1.00 pm it will be possible to go up for free without skis to Passo dei Salati, to watch the ceremony, admire the work, and take part in the festivities. Afterwards a small buffet will be offered at Passo dei Salati.

The work is the result of a long and scrupulous work of technical design, ecological, environmental and urban planning compatibility, but also a careful and timely planning of construction times and a huge commitment by Monterosa 2000 SpA and the construction company .

The lift will transport 1,600 people per hour and will therefore facilitate and speed up access to the Monterosa Ski area from the Piedmont side, also ensuring optimal management of the blue slopes of Cimalegna.

The first day of opening for the public is scheduled on the 23rd of December 2017.

The municipalities of Alagna and Riva Valdobbia and the Region have supported and encouraged the construction, with the aim of improving the skiing offer and the entire tourism system of the Alagnese side.
