Enjoy the best of Monte Rosa at high altitude!

Sapori d’Alta Quota is an exceptional event, dedicated to the typical food of Piedmont and Aosta Valley. It is now a real summer must in Valsesia!

There are two appointments, one for the month of July, and one in August. Two days entirely dedicated to the tasting of typical local products!

On these dates, the Slow Food Valsesia Association gathers many small producers, who rise up at high altitudes. They bring up counters and gazebos.

Thanks to  Monterosa 2000, it’s also set up an area with tables and benches, for those who want to enjoy Monte Rosa comfortably seated.

Cured meats, cheeses, bread and honey are the protagonists. But it’s not just about cold dishes. Some ones are cooked at high altitude and served hot, such as first courses of polenta, ravioli or pasta. There is no shortage of wineries and producers of craft beers.

The context is spectacular, as the event takes place in the heart of Monte Rosa, right where the two regions meet and exchange traditions, culture and peculiarities!

The package includes:

• A / R cable car ticket from Alagna – Passo dei Salati or from Gressoney (Stafal) – Passo dei Salati, for the date of 21.08

A / R Alagna – Pianalunga cable car ticket, for the date of 24.07

• 4 tastings of food and wine excellence products from Upper Piedmont and the Aosta Valley

Reductions are available for children under 14 years of age, while children under the age of 8 travel for free by cable car. If four tastings seem too few, don’t worry, you can always add more by purchasing them directly on            the spot! You will find the producers right at the arrival of the cable car, along the dirt road that connects the ski lifts of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta.
