At 4 o’clock in the morning, the “Great Bell” rings to wake up the faithful. The Church is illuminated by the torches they hold as they walk in silence whilst praying: this is the experience you will have by attending the procession on the 5th of August. Arrive at Craton at dawn amidst the mountain meadows and refresh yourself with hot tea; depart again to the sound of the bell that guides the pilgrims. You will think you’ll never arrive and then suddenly the bells ring out and Lake Miserin appears, on the banks of which is the mystical sanctuary of Our Lady of the Snow. A place of worship from time immemorial guarding the deep devotion of the faithful.
