All around a green and luxuriant nature, made first of woods and then of blueberry and rhododendron bushes!
Having lunch in one of the restaurants at altitude, to appreciate traditional cuisine with an amazing view of Monte Rosa, is a must!
A panoramic cycle path passes under the Ometto peak, through the pastures of Meggiana, Pizzo and Sorbella and then down to Rassa. From Meggiana a ring route leads back to Mera, while from Rassa, always on a dirt road, it is possible to reach Alagna for a route of about 40 km or return to Scopello. A pedestrian and cycle ring route, entirely in the territory of Mera, let everyone explore this place. It is a simple and signposted itinerary, suitable for the whole family. You will find the indications on the maps at the ticket and Tourist Offices.
Children can enjoy a large playground with wooden structures. There will be swings, small Tibetan bridges, a pirate ship to explore, slides, climbing rope walls and even a raft to cross the lake!
At altitude you will also find a tennis court, managed by the Pro Loco Mera and the possibility of taking off with tandem paragliding accompanied by a Guide.
Magical even in winter
The favorable northern exposure of the slopes guarantees a prolonged quality of the snow and at the same time allows you to always ski in the sun. The area consists of 5 lifts and 1 treadmill. The height of the district ranges from 659 m of Scopello to 1741 m of Monte Camparient. The slopes, of medium difficulty, do not present natural obstacles; they are large and suitable for any type of skier. You can also do wonderful off-piste without any danger, which is very grateful to snowboard enthusiasts and freeriders. Skiing on Alpe di Mera means treating yourself to unique experiences: the slopes, suitable for skiers of all levels, are varied, first steep then gentle, open upstream and into the woods downstream.
Mera it’s a real park for those who love the mountains, with one of the best view on Monte Rosa!
You can reach Alpe di Mera by taking the chair lift that departs from Scopello. It’s the most scenic and greenest way to get it! Have a look at the calendar to check the days and times of the service and choose whether to get up on the red two-seater chairs, or by car with paid access.
