What to do at Passo dei Salati?

Today we want to take you with us, up to Passo dei Salati, to let you discover its authentic beauty. We are at 2970 meters, certainly one of the most panoramic points from which to contemplate Monte Rosa and all of Valsesia.

But what can you do at Passo dei Salati once you arrive? It is the starting point for mountaineers who, via the Indren cable car, want to reach the glacier to access the Mantova and Gnifetti and Margherita refuges or for an excursion to one of the 4000m of Monte Rosa.

Located at the arrival of the cable car that connects Passo dei Salati with Pianalunga, you will find the "Bar Passo Da Mania". Their succulent sandwiches and homemade desserts will surely conquer you together with the beautiful sun terrace where you can relax and enjoy the view. Another refuge is located a few steps from the ski lifts and overlooks the Valle D'Aosta, the "Stolemberg".

It is a refuge that offers traditional Aosta Valley and mountain specialties, but also snacks and aperitifs, always with a breathtaking view! Do you want some simple excursions? Just starting from Passo dei Salati there are also easy excursions, excellent for discovering the alpine environment, such as the Geological-Pedological Path of Cimalegna and the Botanical Path of Corno del Camoscio which offers a grandiose panorama towards the Monte Rosa massif. Along the botanical route to the Corno del Camoscio, you can admire extraordinary blooms of alpine and snow flora, described in the cards along the route.
